Walsh Trying To Settle Child Support Case
The Chicago Tribune reports Congressman Joe Walsh is trying to settle a dispute over child support payments with his ex-wife.
A lawyer for Republican Congressman Joe Walsh's ex-wife told a judge Tuesday that Walsh is trying to come to a settlement over a dispute about child support, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Walsh is currently running for re-election in the 8th Congressional District.
Walsh had three children with his ex-wife Laura. She has alleged in court papaers that Walsh owes about $117,000 in child support, the Chicago Tribune reported. The newspaper reported that Laura Walsh's attorney asked a judge to continue the case to April 10 because the parties are working toward a settlement.
In October Walsh stated that he "did in fact pay his share of the education costs for all of his children to attend Catholic school; despite Laura Walsh's claim she incurred all of the costs."
Walsh was elected to represent the 8th Congressional District in November 2010 when he defeated incumbent Democrat Melissa Bean.
The 8th Congressional District was substantially changed in redistricting. A detailed, interactive map can be viewed on the Illinois State Board of Elections website.

I just don't understand why people follow this guy. Aren't there other good candidates?
