Tollway Could Consider "Congestion Pricing" to Make Commute Better

The Chicago Sun-Times reports on the idea presented to the Illinois Tollway this week.

The Metropolitan Planning Council is floating an idea of charging drivers on the Illinois Tollway to avoid traffic, the Sun-Times reports.

The Tollway awarded contracts this week for a construction project to widen and rebuilt Interstate 90 from O’Hare International Airport to Rockford. During the project, the tollway could use a “congestion pricing,” the Sun-Times Reports.

Commuters will be dealing with lots of construction on the roadways this summer, including the full-interchange project at I-90 and Route 47 in Huntley.
