Underage Drinking Party Busted, CL Teens Involved

Two hosts cited for allowing underage drinking and 16 young people ages 16 to 19, some from Crystal Lake, cited for illegal consumption of alcohol.

 

An underage drinking party in a Lake in the Hills home involving 17 young people was busted-up over the weekend. Some of the teenagers are from Crystal Lake.

The home where the gathering occurred is in the 300 block of Village Creek Drive, according to Sergeant Decker with Lake in the Hills Police.  The homeowners were not present when police arrived at 11p.m. Saturday night.

When officers arrived on the scene, they observed the party-goers in the home’s garage and loud music playing, Decker said. 

Upon checking identification of individuals present, police determined 16 individuals ages 16 and 19 years had consumed alcohol.

The young people are residents of Lake in the Hills, and surrounding suburbs including Huntley, Algonquin, Woodstock and Crystal Lake, according to Decker.

Deven Elion, 21, of the 100 block of Banford Court, Lake in the Hills, was the seventeeth individual at the party and was cited for hosting it as well as serving alcohol to individuals under the age of 21.

Also charged with hosting the party was 18-year-old Domonique Blake of the 300 block of Village Creek Drive, the same address where the party was held. Blake also was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor. 

The other individuals cited, age and residence include:

  • Marisa Seymour, 18, Fleetwood Street, Huntley
  • Kyel Goettelmann, 18, Savoy Drive, Lake in the Hills 
  • Ryan Davenport, 18, Wright Drive, Lake in the Hills
  • Nathan Lahey, 18, Fairfax Lane, Lake in the Hills,
  • Nicola Zaccaro, 18, Charlotte Lane, Crystal Lake 
  • Terrick Lewis, 19, Sonoma Circle, Lake in the Hills
  • Brittany Kelleher, 18, Capitol Lane, Huntley
  • Casey Pourshot, 18, Clover Chase Circle, Woodstock
  • Tyler Bowlin, 18, Church Street, Huntley
  • Anthony Blaming, 18, Savoy Drive, Lake in the Hills
  • Mark Merevich, 18, Crofton Court, Lake in the Hills
  • Kayla Linthicum, 18, Augusta Court, Lake in the Hills

The remaning individual who attended and was cited is a minor. 

All 17 individuals were issued notices to appear, and Sergeant Decker said they could face fines, probation or other punishments at the discretion of the judge.
