SleepOut for Shelter Creates Awareness of McHenry County Homeless
More than 100 people, including families, church groups and high school students, gathered at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake for SleepOut for Shelter to benefit McHenry County PADS in Woodstock.

Logan Rosenmayer and Mitch Meegan, both 15 of Crystal Lake, got their cardboard boxes ready for the night. It’s the second year Rosenmayer participated. Last year, it got cold in the morning and he had to add more cardboard boxes because it rained, he said. The two were confident this year’s shelter would work.
