Nearly 400 runners and walkers participated in the annual Cary Shuffle 5k event.

The Cary 26 Education Foundation raised about $3,500, which will benefit School District 26 students through grants, educational trips and other activities.

In addition to raising funds, the goals of the shuffle are to promote a healthy lifestyle and community togetherness.
