For the past several months, area Patch readers have helped determine Chowdown Showdown winners in a wide variety of food categories.
This summer contest will take a step beyond food and puts the spotlight on more than 20 categories, and we want to know which McHenry County businesses you think come out on top in each one.

The best mechanic....
Hands down Crosstown Auto in CL. 176 & 31. Tom and Dave are very friendly and knowlegeable. They will only charge you for what is quoted. if a job takes them longer for some reason you do not pay more. I have taken my cars in there and they always do a fantastic job.
