Nicor Gas will be working on Krenz Avenue either Wednesday, April 25 or Thursday, April 26 to upgrade the natural gas delivery system, according to a village press release. The work will include the installation of new gas mains and services.

Nicor Gas is asking for your cooperation and patience, as Nicor Gas crew members or their contractors will need to gain access to your property to complete important steps in this project.

Nicor Gas will do everything they can to accommodate your schedule. This upgrade is at no cost to you.

SCOPE OF WORK

Phase 1: Spot New Service and Locate Existing Service

If your gas meter is already outside, it will stay in the same location. If your meter is located inside, Nicor Gas personnel/contractor will need to have access to your meter to spot the meter(s) and service in order to identify where the new meter(s) will be placed on your property as well as the location of your existing gas service line. You will be contacted to schedule an appointment.

Phase 2 & 3: Physical Installation

Phase 2: The new gas main will be installed and individual service lines will be installed after the completion of gas main work. Phase 3: After the new service is installed, we will move your meter outside if it's currently inside and connect the meter and new service line to your internal piping.

If your meter is already outside, we will connect the new service line to your existing meter. Your gas will be turned off for approximately two to three hours while they complete this process. It is imperative that this work is complete prior to shutting off the old gas main permanently.

• Krenz Avenue from School Street to Seebert Street and Seebert Street to Main Street
