Narcotics Task Force Seizes $1,500 in Marijuana at Cary Home; Cary Man, Woman Arrested

Task force received a tip that a package of cannabis was being mailed from California to the Cary home, police said.

 

 

A Cary man and woman were among eight people arrested Friday following an investigation into the shipment of more than 2,000 grams of marijuana to a Cary house on Laurel Lane.

The delivery of cannabis was sent to a home in the 700 block of Laurel Lane in Cary, according to Sgt. Bill Backus, director North Central Narcotics Task Force.

Maurice R. Lebbos, 20, of Cary, was charged with one count unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, and one count unlawful possession of cannabis, Backus said in a press release.

Nicole B. Lebbos, 19, also of Cary, was arrested and charged with one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the release stated.

NCNTF also charged he following men with one count unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and one count unlawful possession of cannabis:

Eli P. Kulack, 21, of Algonquin

Ryan D. Kennedy, 21, of Algonquin

Dylan J. Trama, 20, of Barrington

Jesse C. Peterson, 20, of West Dundee

Jacob N. McGowan, 21, of East Dundee

Joshua R. Ernst, 21, of Elgin

Law enforcement personnel received information a package had been delivered to the Cary home from California via the U.S. Postal Service which contained a substantial amount of cannabis.

On Friday, members of the narcotics task force and the U.S. Postal Service executed a search warrant at the suspected residence in Cary.

NCNTF agents searched the residence and seized approximately 2,159.0 grams of cannabis, valued at about $1,500, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia, Backus said in the release. 

The Crystal Lake Police Department and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are being reviewed by the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SPEND OUR TAX DOLLARS GOING AFTER REAL CRIMINALS!!! OK ITS POT AND YOU SHOULDN'T SHIP IT THROUGH THE MAIL BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY ITS SMALL AMOUNT OF POT CLOGGING UP OUR COURT SYSTEM!

NCNTF busted me in a raid at crystal lake motel. They entered with no badges only vest that said poliece that anyone could by at AWOL. I got charged with a pipe and resisting arrest and lost my job of three years over it. And the bum cops never even showed to court. Someone need to sue the hell outta of this task force.
