"safety straps that attach furniture to the wall"
In our increasingly 'progressive' society, nobody is personally accountable for anything bad that happens. It's always the fault of somebody else. A manufacturer, the government, the place that sold us the hot coffee that we spilled on ourselves.. There's always somebody that can be sued. It's not our fault.

"safety straps that attach furniture to the wall" which she could have purchased at any local hardware store. Even if the strap was provided, would she even use it.
