Karen G. Heurlin, nee Takala, age 73, passed away Sunday August 26, 2012.

She was born May 10, 1939 in Catawba, Wis., to William and Mildred (Volendorf) Takala. She married Ronald Heurlin on June 27, 1959.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wilnewic; her grandchildren, Kyle Wilnewic, Grant Heurlin, Courtney Wilnewic, Troy Heurlin, and Chase Heurlin; her brothers, Warren (Carol) and Daniel Takala; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Dennis Heurlin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday Aug. 29 at the First United Methodist Church, 236 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.
