Poll: Tigers or Trojans? Who Will Win on Saturday?
Crystal Lake Central and Cary-Grove high schools won their playoff games this past weekend and now will face each other at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cary-Grove.
Well, who would have predicted this matchup?
Community High School District 155 has not one, but two varsity football teams advancing to the Illinois High School Association's quarterfinals this weekend.
And, it just so happens those two teams - Crystal Lake Central and Cary-Grove - will play each other at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cary-Grove High School, Cary.
The Cary-Grove Trojans Varsity Football team (11-0) is undefeated this season.
The Trojans beat the St. Patrick's Shamrocks, of Chicago, 49-21 on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Cary-Grove's home field in the second round of the Class 6A high school playoffs, the Daily Herald reports.
Crystal Lake Central Tigers (9-2) stumbled in the beginning of the season, but then found their game and have been strong ever since.
The Tigers beat the Grant Bulldogs on Friday night at Metcalf field in Crystal Lake in the second round of the Illinois High School Class 5A playoffs.
So the question remains....Who is going to win this Saturday's game?
