First Day of School for Districts 26, 47, 155
School is just around the corner, but there's still plenty of time to enjoy summer.
August has arrived, and that means there are about 22 to 27 days left of summer before students return to school in Crystal Lake and Cary.
First to hit the books are the students in Cary Community Consolidated School District 26, which opens for classes on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Community High School District 155 - serving Crystal Lake, Cary and parts of Lake in the Hills - will hold its first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 27. Students may appreciate the late-start-Monday since classes will begin one-half hour later at 8:10 a.m.
Pupils in Crystal Lake Community Consolidated School District 47 will have their first full day of classes on Tuesday, Aug. 28. Kindergarteners begin on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
