The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Crystal Lake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

WEHRHEIM, LUCAS F, 32, of 124 Lakewood Avenue in Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 8 with Aggravated DUI, BAC over .08, Leaving Scene of Property Damage Accident. He was transferred to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. He was given a Feb. 21. 

RETAIL THEFT

GOMEZ, FRANCISCO, 27, of 4812 Claire Street in Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 15 with Retail Theft. He was released on $150 bond and given Feb. 21 court date.

OUTSTANDING WARRANT

IANDOLA, LISA D, 33, of 400 W. Virginia Street #A2 in Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 15 with Obstructing Identification, having a warrant out of Lake County for Trespassing. She was transferred to the McHenry County Sheroff's Office. Court dates for both McHenry and Lake counties have not been set.

ORDER OF PROTECTION

WILLIAMS, MARIO DARELL, 30, of 421 Lincoln Avenue of Fox River Grove was charged Jan. 17 with Violation of Order of Protection. He was transferred to the McHenry County Sheroff's Office. A court date has not been set.

LICENSE

CASTELLANOS, ARTEMISA, 35,  of 132 Woodstock Street #H of Crystal Lake charged Jan. 13 with Not Having a Valid License and Improper Lane Usage. Castellanos was released $150 bond and was given a Feb. 14 court date.

REYES, RAFAELA DELGADO, 42, of 243 Uteg Street #8, Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 12 with Not Having a Valid License and Improper Lane UsageNVDL, Improper Lane Usage and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Collision. Reyes was released and given a Feb. 21 court date.

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged Jan. 14 with Reckless Driving and Driver's License Violation. The juvenile was released to a parent and given a Feb. 7 court date.  

CARDOSO, GASPAR, 38, of 788 Dartmoor Drive in Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 15 with Not Having a Driver's License and Disregarding a Traffic Control Device. Cardoso was released on $150 bond and given a Feb. 28 court date.

FERNANDEZ-MARQUEZ, FELIX, 21, of 1213 W. Riverside Drive in McHenry was charged Jan. 15 with Not Having a Valid Driver's License and Speeding. He was released on $150 bond and given a Feb. 14 court date.

RATCLIFF, CAMERON JAMAAL, 29, of 651 Virginia Road #127 in Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 18 with Driving While License Suspended. He was released on $150 bond and given a Feb. 7 court date.

OCHOA, JESSE, 20, of 210 Elmhurst Street #312 in Crystal Lake was charged Jan. 21 with Driving While License Revoked and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Ochoa was released on $150 bond and given a Feb. 14 court date.

Ok, I am not saying the person in the outstanding warrant case is innocent in any way but what in the name of justice is obstructing identification??

Sec. 31-4.5. Obstructing identification.

(a) A person commits the offense of obstructing identification when he or she intentionally or knowingly furnishes a false or fictitious name, residence address, or date of birth to a peace officer who has:

(1) lawfully arrested the person;

(2) lawfully detained the person; or

(3) requested the information from a person that the peace officer has good cause to believe is a witness to a criminal offense.

(b) Sentence. Obstructing identification is a Class A misdemeanor.
