Crystal Lake Police Arrest Several Men for Theft and Retail Theft

Nicholas A. Holiday, 21, 110 S. Virginia St. Room 201, Crystal Lake, was arrested Feb. 15, and charged with residential burglary and theft. Police said Holiday stole an air compressor from an open garage located in 600 block of Leonard Parkway. Holiday was transported to the McHenry County Jail, where he was awaiting bond and a court date.
Jonathan R. Vargas, 22, 402 Northlake Rd., Lakemoor, was arrested Feb. 5, and charged with theft under $500, unauthorized use of a state registration certificate and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
Police said Vargas stole a registration sticker from a vehicle that belonged to his former employer located on Millennium Drive. Vargas was transported to the McHenry County Jail, where he was awaiting bail and a court date.
Glen A. Brucci, 47, 2116 Meyers St., Belvidere, was arrested Feb. 9, on a warrant for retail theft, valued under $300. Police said Brucci stole an electronic tablet from the HH Gregg Store. Brucci was transported to the McHenry County Jail. He was released after posting 10 percent of a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Feb. 12.
Joseph J. Maxwell, 53, 907 N. Jefferson St., Harvard, was arrested Jan. 28, and charged with retail theft under $300. Police said Maxwell stole computer hardware from the Best Buy, 6000 Route 14. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail, where he was awaiting bond and a court date.
W. Dawson Wallace, 60, 851 Crabtree Ln., Cary, was arrested Jan. 31, and charged with retail theft. Police said Wallace stole clothing and food from the Walmart, 1205 S. Route 31. Dawson posted bond and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.
