John T. Larimer, 27, a U.S. Navy sailor and native of Crystal Lake, was killed Friday, July 20, in the Aurora, Col. movie theater shooting.

Anthony "Tony" Pauls, 22, of Lake in the Hills. Pauls, a 2009 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School, was hit by a car late Friday night at the University of Illinois where he was a senior.

Connor Priesz, 18, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, after doctors speculate he may have suffered a seizure while swimming with his friends in the Fox River on the east side of Crystal Lake.

Adam Moring, 29, was killed Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, while he slept in his bed in Arizona. Moring moved from Cary to Arizona in August 2012 to start a new life, family members said.

Police and friends of J.D. Fennessy, 22, are still searching for clues regarding the identity of the hit-and-run driver who struck J.D. while he walked at about 3:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, on East Main Street in Cary.
