Flyers and Facebook posts have started filling streets and area computer screens as a local family searches for Timothy "T.J." Schomer.
According to the , Schomer, 20, was last seen Dec. 16 at his mother's townhouse in downtown Crystal Lake and was last heard from around 11 p.m. the same day. He did not report to work the following day. A missing persons report was filed Dec. 18.
Schomer is listed as 5'11'', 145 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He has a heart tattoo on the right side of his neck and a bass clef tattoo on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing a T-shirt, blue jeans, tennis shoes and possibly a military-style hat.

Schomer was hospitalized for a suicide attempt within the last month, according to police.
