Chick-fil-A Restaurant to Open Soon in Crystal Lake
The popular restaurant is targeted to open Aug. 9.
If you think you're seeing cow spots, you may be right.
Construction of the Chick-fil-A restaurant at 4812 Route 14 in Crystal Lake is nearly completed, and the company intends to open the fast-food restaurant sometime around Aug. 9, said Brenda Morrow, public relations coordinator for Chick-fil-A store openings.
More information about the opening of the chain location should be forthcoming in the next two weeks, Morrow said.
The restaurant replaces the former Hooters restaurant, located in front of Menard's along Route 14. The Hooters buidling, originally a Hardee's restaurant, was leveled, and Chick-fil-A has built a brand new store in its place.
Chick-fil-A specializes in preparing a variety of chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, salads, sandwich wraps, breakfast biscuits with eggs and bacon, milk shakes, and ice cream sundaes.
The restaurant's renown "cow campaign" features advertisements of cows, armed - or hoofed - with paint brushes, holding signs that read, "Eat more chicken."
