Cary Resident Charged With Soliciting A Contract Killing
Local man was arrested for solicitation to commit murder for hire.
A Cary man was arrested Friday and charged with solicitation to commit murder for hire after asking another man to kill someone, according to reports from the Daily Herald.
Stanley J. Helmer, 58, appeared in bond court Saturday morning for the charge, which is a Class X felony, with a penalty of 20 to 40 years in prison, the Daily Herald reported.
His next court date is set for 9 a.m. March 24 in Woodstock.
