Cary Police Blotter: Loose Dog, Marijuana Possession, Arrest Warrants

Outstanding Arrest Warrant
Jamie L. Spencer, 31, 647 Cary Woods Circle, Cary, was arrested Oct. 3, on an in-state warrant.
Jamie L. Spencer, 31, 647 Cary Woods Circle, Cary, was arrested Nov. 12, on an in-state warrant.
Possession of Marijuana
Nathaniel R. Vandenberg, 21, 24 Duxbury Ln., Cary, was arrested Oct. 8, and charged with one count of possession of between 2.5 to 10 grams marijuana, one count possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count failure to use a seat belt.
Kevin A. Lownds, 22, 96 Jefferson, Cary, was arrested Oct. 29, and charged with one count of possession of less than 2.5 grams marijuana and one count possession of drug paraphernalia.
Loose Dog
Brendt M. Hall, 31, 325 Alma, Cary, was arrested Oct. 26, and cited for having a dog at large on private property without the owner's consent.
Violating Order of Protection
Jamaar D. Towers, 29, 20 New Haven Dr., Cary, was arrested Nov. 7, and charged with one count of violating an order of protection.
Karl T. Kissner, 51, 42 E. Surrey Ln., Barrington, was arrested Nov. 28, and charged with one count of violating an order of protection.

They arrested somebody for less than 2.5 grams of Marijuana and not more than 10 grams? Why? I understand the seat belt ticket but this is just preposterous! Viva la Marijuana!! I can't believe we as tax payers have to pay 100$ per day to keep some one incarcerated for this kind of crap! Do like cook county if its under certain amount its a 200$ fine.
