We've got a list of upcoming Easter egg hunts and area events worth checking out in coming days.
The Easter Bunny will be busy this weekend as he makes the rounds to Easter egg hunts throughout the area.
Below is a list of Easter egg hunts and other Easter events worth checking out in the coming days:
April 4
Dog Easter Egg Hunt in Cary
The Cary Park District will be hosting a dog egg hunt beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 at Hoffman Park. The hunt will be located outside of the dog park area.
All are welcome to attend. All dogs must be on a leash. This event is free.

April 5
Easter Craft Corner in Lake in the Hills
The village of Lake in the Hills will host an Easter craft corner at 12:30 p.m. at Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate in LITH. Cost is $8.
April 6
Heineman Hosts Egg Hunt for Children with Special Needs
Heineman Middle School’s Gold Program will host an Easter egg hunt geared toward District 158 children with physical, developmental, or intellectual disabilities and their families. The egg hunt takes place at 9 a.m. Friday, April 6, at Heineman Middle School, 725 Academic Drive, Algonquin.
Elite Kids in Crystal Lake Hosts Easter Egg Hunt
Elite Kids, 825 Munshaw Lane in Crystal Lake, will host an Easter egg hunt at 12:30 p.m. on Friday in its 10,000 square foot gymnastic and dance studio facility.
There will be face painting and the Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Cost is $5 per child.
April 7
Huntley Park District Annual Egg Hunt
The Huntley Park District's Annual Egg Hunt will start at 10 a.m. at Deicke Park on route 47.
A special egg holds a family pass to Stingray Bay Family Aquatic Center. There will be certain areas for children aged 2-3, 4-5 and 6-8 years old. Parking is at the REC Center on Mill Street.
There will be a special area set aside for children with special needs.
Be there at 10 a.m. sharp because the hunt goes very quickly.
St. Paul's in Crystal Lake Holds Easter Egg Hunt
St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 485 W. Woodstock St. in Crystal Lake, will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. The event is free.
Fox Valley Reformed Church Easter Egg Hunt in Crystal Lake
Fox Valley Reformed Church, 9414 Route 175 in Crystal Lake, will hold a free Easter egg hunt and will offer free pictures with the Easter Bunny.
The event will start at 10 a.m. Coloring, snacks and prizes will also be available.
Lunch With the Bunny in Crystal Lake
Tickets are available for Lunch with the Bunny, which will be held at 11 a.m. at Old Towne Hall (above Heisler's Bootery). Ticket price is $12 and includes:
- hot buffet lunch
- free photo with the Bunny
- gift for each child—adorable stuffed bunnies
- entertainment
- live music
- games
- prize drawings
- and (of course) a visit with the Bunny

Underwater Egg Hunt at YMCA
Sage YMCA, 701 Manor Road in Crystal Lake, will hold an underwater egg hunt starting at 1 p.m. Cost is $6.
Cornerstone Baptist Church Hosts Hunt in LITH
Cornerstone Baptist Church, 9625 Haligus Road (at Marlowe Middle School), Lake in the Hills, is hosting a free Easter Egg Hunt at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Special prizes will be awarded to lucky kids who find the mysterious Golden Eggs.
April 8 (Easter Sunday)
Trinity Lutheran in Huntley Hosts Egg Hunt
On Easter Sunday, families can search for eggs early, at 8 a.m., when Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 N. Church St. in Huntley, hosts its hunt.
Huntley's Faith Community Hosts Egg Hunt
Huntley's Faith Community Church, 10547 Faiths Way, will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Children will get to meet the Easter Bunny at the event.
