The Crystal Lake Jaycees are hosting a Community Blood Drive and Children's Book Drive on Saturday, August 4, 2012 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

~ Many open donation times are still available for you to choose from.   Select your preferred time slot today.

During the summer months, donations of blood are at the lowest. We need your help! To give you that extra incentive, Heartland Blood Centers will give you a certificate for a free quart of Oberweis Ice Cream!  

In conjunction with the blood drive, the Crystal Lake Jaycees also are collecting gently used children's books for our Share-A-Christmas program.

We'll give the books to the families we adopt for our Christmas holiday program. If you have a bunch of books, we'd love to take them off your hands.

To donate books, stop on by the Lakeside Legacy Arts Park, 401 Country Club Rd., Crystal Lake, during the blood drive, or during any of the park's operating hours.
