Charter Fitness collected about 3,500 toys during its 6th Annual Toy Drive that ran from December 1 through 21, 2012. 

New, unwrapped toys were collected at all participating Charter Fitness locations and benefited local children through organizations such as Toys for Tots, The Salvation Army, and the Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital. 

“The 6th Annual Charter Fitness Toy Drive was a great success! We would like to thank everyone who donated and made Christmas morning extra special for children in need." said Dan Collins, Charter Fitness’ Director of Sales. 

Since its inception, the Charter Fitness Toy Drive has collected over 23,000 toys for children in need.   

Charter Fitness Franchising LLC, based in Orland Park, is a health club franchise with over 40 locations including Crystal Lake.

The Crystal Lake club recently moved from its original Angela Lane location to a larger space at 6308 Route 14, near Hobby Lobby.
