The Crystal Lake Park District Board of Commissioners has appointed Caroline Bachour Chemaly to the board.

Chemaly will complete the term vacated by Commissioner Richard Passavant.

Passavant will step down from his position at the conclusion of the Thursday, June 21, Park Board meeting because he and his family are moving to a home located outside the park district boundaries. 

The Park Board received and reviewed applications from eight candidates. Four of those candidates were interviewed for the open post.

Chemaly will take her seat on the board starting at the July 19 Park Board meeting.
